10 Tips for Creating a Monster-Themed Classroom

  1. Use faux fur (sold in fabric stores) in bright colors as background on your bulletin boards.
  2. Create a welcome board reading, "___ Grade is Monsterous Fun!"
  3. Turn tissue paper pom poms and paper lanterns into cute 3D monsters by adding eyes, mouths and other features with colored cardstock.
  4. Have your students create monsters to use as additional decorations.
  5. Hot glue plastic googly eyes around the room to transform ordinary objects.
